The In-Between

Writer's picture: Kaela SKaela S

Is anyone else at this weird “in-between” spot where you feel one step closer to your dreams but also feeling like there’s so much further to go? Or like you’re proud of yourself for remaining in the fight but also wondering when things will lighten up a bit?

I’m there. I know I’m becoming the woman I dreamed of being, but the process of growth can be daunting. I’ve contemplated giving up, and maybe you have too, but I was reminded that we have come too far to only come this far. We have to keep fighting and stay steady to see our hearts’ desire become a reality. We can’t afford to quit because it’s bigger than us. This type of work is for generations to come.

AND… might I add…we have survived 100% of the battles we have faced! Although it sometimes feels like we lost parts of ourselves in some of those fights, we have to trust that what we have now is all that we need for the moment at hand, and the lessons we learned are so valuable, and our current trials are not going to be wasted. Our God is a Redeemer.

So for those of us struggling in the in-between. Not sure whether to turn back or continue gaining ground…. let’s choose to move forward. When we feel overwhelmed or that we’re being crushed by the weight of life, I hope we are reminded that it’s time to pause and seek God and change our focus. Let’s find reasons to be thankful, keep our faith, pray, stay committed to the work, surround ourselves with good company, and endure long enough to see the fruit of our labor.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

Prayer:
God, thank You for sustaining me in this season. Thank You for Your overwhelming love, peace, and kindness. May I be still enough to see the beauty of my life – currently, and find the joy in the gift of Your Sacrifice. AND by Your grace, help me to be strong enough to endure the race set before me. Help me to keep my eyes on You instead of the storm raging around me. You got me through A LOT already and have been with me in every circumstance and I know that You will do it again and You won’t leave me now. I love You. In Jesus Name, Amen.

P.S. If you need a little push this week and a reminder that it may not be easy but it's going to be SO worth it, check out the podcast below. It’s so good!
