“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9
Devotional
Ever felt like God wanted you to do something, but you were too scared to do it? You managed to do the other thing He asked you to do, but this one is different. This one could make you look crazy in front of everyone. This one is demanding a version of you that you're not sure you have. In these times, the best thing we can do is remind ourselves that for such a time as this, we were called. If God is requiring something of you in this season that you don't think you can do...lean into Him and do it anyway. He knows you more than you know yourself and His plans for us are beautiful. Do it afraid. Do it not quite ready. Let's not talk ourselves out of it this time.
Prayer
Jesus, thank You for this moment. I'm not where I want to be just yet, but I'm so far from where I used to be. Thank You for getting me here. Help me to not allow my past mistakes to hold me back, but allow me to know and understand that I'm more than enough with You. Make my heart obedient to You, Jesus. Give me the boldness to do all that You called me to do. Allow Your peace to overcome my fear, insecurities, and doubt. I'll fix my eyes on You. In Jesus name, Amen.
